President T, on his first day back in office, as part of a quid pro quo for hundreds of millions of dollars and other tireless support from self-interested Elon Musk, gave Musk a fake government agency (DOGE [1]) that allowed Musk to harvest personal data from every American and defund and close every legally constituted agency that was investigating him and his businesses. The gleeful chainsaw wielding maniac (in fairness to him, he may have simply been stoned out of his gourd at CPAC) also let tons of food ready for distribution to poor, malnourished people overseas rot in warehouses, before shuttering USAID for good and killing an estimated million poor people (and counting) in ravaged third world countries.
OK, fair enough, two “transactional” racist, psychopaths doing business, you scratch my ass, I’ll scratch yours. I may hate it, but I get it.
At the time I was outraged that Trump had not been challenged, or sued, when he illegally created an executive branch agency, DOGE, tasked with a nihilistic project to, among other “move fast and break things” moves, illegally fire as many career civil servants (disproportionately Black and female) as possible with not a peep from the media or anyone else. Shock and Awe, baby. Trump had summarily fired 17 inspectors general so only foxes like himself and Musk guarded the hen house. Fair enough. When questioned about whether Musk was head of DOGE, they tap danced for a moment and then appointed a woman as the official head of DOGE. (Most recently these two super-geniuses conspired with Putin for is most devastating recent attack in the war. They betrayed an American ally, and all of our European and other allies, by shutting down Ukraine’s eyes in the sky as Putin launched a devastating missile attack against civilian targets in his long war of aggression. Not that big of a deal…)
After seeing two great long-form interviews with documentary filmmaker Alex Gibney, about his new epic length (almost 4 hours) Musk, an exploration of a disturbed, disturbing con man and history’s greatest capitalist, Elon Musk, I decided to verify that the president had illegally put Musk, unofficially, in charge of the team of 20 year-old hackers who did such damage. Here’s a short version of the interview with Alex Gibney.
This search took seconds. I asked “can the president create an executive agency?”
Then I asked “who created DOGE department?”
Then I asked myself how nobody seemed to question this obvious violation of the law? In the performance of his “core duties” Trump, his fellow travelers on the Supreme Court ruled, can commit crimes, but still, it seemed like another question needed to be answered, Here is what the actual law is:
If these racist psychopath criminals aren’t Nazis, all of the many books I’ve read about the Nazi seizure of power and the Third Reich were lying to me:
DOGE has claimed to have saved hundreds of billions, although another government entity estimated it cost the government $21.7 billion.[35][36] Another independent analysis estimated that DOGE cuts will cost taxpayers $135 billion;[37] the Internal Revenue Service predicted more than $500 billion in revenue loss due to “DOGE-driven” cuts.[38] Journalists found billions of dollars in miscounting.[39][40] According to critics, DOGE redefined fraud to target federal employees and programs to build political support;[41] budget experts said DOGE cuts were driven more by political ideology than frugality.[42] Musk, DOGE, and the Trump administration have made multiple claims of having discovered significant fraud, many of which have not held up under scrutiny.[43][44][45] According to the estimates of Brooke Nichols, DOGE cuts to foreign aid programs had led to some 300,000 deaths by May 2025, mostly of children.[46][47][48] By February 2026, when her counter that estimated the number of deaths was retired, the numbers were kept at the one-year mark from when the cuts began: 781,343 deaths caused by the funding discontinuation.[49][50][51]source
[1] Meanwhile, because DOGE was established within the Executive Office of the President, its records are protectedunder the Presidential Records Act, which means that documentation of information including employee salaries isn’t subject to a Freedom of Information Act request until 2034.
