Here’s another short with a guy making the point that these private “detention centers” for immigrants who have committed no crimes are concentration camps. More people are dying in them than died in many concentration camps (which are not ‘extermination camps’ vernichtungslagers [1]) — and we will never know the true number murdered in those lucrative, private hellholes. Many who die of medical neglect are shipped out to die in hospitals, so they don’t count as dead in concentration camp custody. Relatively few of the Japanese-Americans interned in concentration camps during World War II died, though the situation and conditions were appalling enough — they were far better than those provided by our greatest private, for-profit detention corporations.
People locked up in these Stephen Miller/CoreCivic/GEO Group camps are required to work long hours for $1 a day. Coincidentally that was the same amount the SS charged to rent out slave laborers from Auschwitz. Once again, some wealthy gate keeper/corporate “person” (psychopath) is not allowing me to embed this “political” short.
So let’s just say privatized detention centers for the worst of the worst, no need to mention the 40 to 100 people packed into a single cage in these best of the best facilities for the worst of the worst. Hannah Arendt’s statements always ring true in our current situation. She escaped Nazi Germany, barely made it out of a concentration camp for women in France (thanks to wealthy American friends) and had an intimate understanding of the fascist project. Stop critical thinking, stop history, stop cause and effect, focus violent hatred on enemies, in 2026 use AI to accelerate all these things.
