Irrational faith vs. reasonable conversation

It is impossible not to notice the ungodly strength of irrational “arguments”. Just scan the alarmingly skewed headlines and editorials of the fucking New York Times. Once an irrational belief is embraced, that’s all she wrote, boys and girls.

A person of unquestioning faith cannot be persuaded by facts, videos, secret recordings, written evidence, sworn testimony, a mountain of reasonable arguments for doubt or skepticism. This is the beauty, and unparalleled horror, of true belief. If you believe, say “amen”, and you no longer need to care in the least about the so-called “truth”. The truth you now believe will set you free (from ever needing to argue about truth again.)

That other truth, let us be clear, is the truth of heretics, infidels, God deniers, Christ killers, pedophile cannibal left-wing billionaires, libtards, cucks, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, etc.

Every tyrant, every leader around whom a cult of personality is built, every psychopathic CEO, every greed demented luster after thousands of millions of dollars, requires a belief system in which their quirks and abuses are seen as unquestionable virtues. You may not question this belief system without being portrayed as [insert your favorite dismissive expletive]. Now let us all say “amen”, it is so [1].

The horror is that humans, under pressure, will act as cleverly as lemmings in their desperation to save themselves, to survive, thrive, be part of something bigger than themselves, part of a true religion, true cult, true family or true couple. There is no human collective too small to be immune to this unilateral imposition of will, and demand for unwavering faith, from someone claiming the right to rule.

It is the shame of being human, witnessing the constant, thoughtless embrace of angry, sometimes murderous, irrationality. The worst of it is that these murdering mobs truly believe that all-mighty, all-powerful, all-merciful GOD told them it is their holy duty to slaughter. Holy shit, my friends.

[1] amen (interjection): used to express solemn ratification (as of an expression of faith) or hearty approval (as of an assertion). [Merriam Webster]

Two sides to every story?

Here are two reactions to the recent 6-3 Supreme Court decision crippling Congressional and DOJ oversight of a criminal president and affirming a (far right) president’s prerogative to engage in criminal conspiracy without consequence if he asserts that the crime was part of his “bold and decisive” core official duties as MAGA president (and the crime in question advances the interests of the men who chose the radical, corporatist 6-3 Supreme Court majority).

The first take is from an organization run by Leonard Leo, far right Christian activist in charge of a recently donated $1.6 billion dollar political activism war chest — and engineer of the current Supreme Court and hundreds of Federalist Society diehard federal judges at all levels. Judicial Watch spent millions on advertising to tank the Merrick Garland Supreme Court nomination and promote their three picks for Supreme Court justices.

Note Judicial Watch’s motto: Because no one is above the law!

Apologies to those trying to read this on a phone screen, here you go:

Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton made the following statement regarding the ruling by the United Stated Supreme Court regarding immunity for official acts by former President Donald Trump:

Today’s commonsense Supreme Court immunity ruling is a victory for former President Trump, the U.S. Constitution, and the rule of law. The Biden administration’s political decision to try to put Trump in jail for simply being president was unsurprisingly rejected by the Supreme Court.

Make no mistake, the Supreme Court is imposing a virtually insurmountable burden on Jack Smith in his vicious pursuit of Trump over the election and document disputes. The unprecedented charges against Trump were frivolous to begin with and, after today’s decision, should be shut down completely by the Justice Department.

Judicial Watch is in the forefront of the court battles for transparency regarding the Biden administration’s targeting of Trump.

Another view, from American Oversight, expressed with impressive restraint:

STATEMENT FROM AMERICAN OVERSIGHT INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR CHIOMA CHUKWU:

Today is a dark day for American democracy. The Supreme Court’s ruling came after months of delay, revealing the greatest beneficiary of our two-tiered system of justice: Donald J. Trump. By sending this case back to the lower courts for further proceedings just months before the election, making it unlikely that he will face trial by November, the Court has effectively rewarded the former president with de facto immunity for his role in attempting to subvert the results of the 2020 election.

“Our democracy depends on an informed electorate. Today’s decision deprives the public of critical information by preventing this case from immediately proceeding to trial, instead requiring the lower court to first determine which of Trump’s egregious actions fall within the parameters set forth by the Supreme Court. Voters deserve to have the benefit of a jury verdict before choosing their next president in November — the Court’s ruling likely made that impossible.”

In a 6-3 opinion, the Supreme Court’s ruling states that a president is entitled to immunity for official acts, but not for unofficial acts. Chief Justice John Roberts, writing for the majority, made clear that even the Supreme Court agrees on a core principle — that no one is above the law:

“The president enjoys no immunity for his unofficial acts, and not everything the President does is official. The President is not above the law. But Congress may not criminalize the President’s conduct in carrying out the responsibilities of the Executive Branch under the Constitution.”

Who are you going to believe, 100% certain, true-believing smash mouth political practitioners with 100% message discipline or those deluded souls who deliberate, weigh nuances, discuss, hesitate and disagree on various policy matters?

Related question: since Trump is right that Biden is sleepy and senile, why not remove him from the ballot immediately, trembling libtard cucks?

Covfefe Policy Agenda for Project 2025

(from the Heritage Foundation’s website)

It is not enough for conservatives to win elections. If we are going to rescue the country from the grip of the radical Left, we need both a governing agenda and the right people in place, ready to carry this agenda out on Day One of the next conservative Administration.

This is the goal of the 2025 Presidential Transition Project. The project will build on four pillars that will, collectively, pave the way for an effective conservative Administration. More About Project 2025

Policy: This book is an invitation for you the reader—Mr. Smith, Mrs. Smith, and Ms. Smith—to come to Washington or support those who can.  Our goal is to assemble an army of aligned, vetted, trained, and prepared conservatives to go to work on Day One to deconstruct the Administrative State.

Note the subtle touch of the Day One, a reference to the principle that the Leader’s word has the force of law.

MAGA vs. majoritarian tyranny

Those few born “booted and spurred” to ride the backs of their inferiors (in that great phrase Jefferson stole from a Scottish patriot who said it before his execution) have always abhorred the tyranny of the majority. In recent times their well-paid political wordsmiths came up with the wonderfully arch “majoritarian tyranny”. You can’t have 98% of people deciding for everybody else.

John Roberts, Federalist Society member and dedicated corporatist (in private practice he was the genius who came up with the arbitration clause — severely limiting the legal rights of those harmed by corporations — that is now in virtually every contract corporations make with buyers) is a steadfast defender of anti-majoritarianism. Here’s one example, from the balls and strikes umpire’s tenure as chief justice of the only court in the world without an enforceable code of ethics:

In striking down enforcement of the Voting Rights Act (based on a demonstrable lie, but that’s for another time) the 5-4 Federalist Society conservative-libertarian majority overruled overwhelming bipartisan support, eh, majoritarian tyranny.

How overwhelming?

Reauthorization of the Voting Rights Act, after massive deliberation and debate, passed 390-33 in the House.  The vote on the Senate, after a similarly rigorous process, was 98-0.  Republican president George W. Bush made a speech praising the importance of the Voting Rights Act to our democracy as he signed the reauthorization into law.

Roberts, with Scalia (first faculty advisor to the Federalist Society), Thomas (most corrupt Supreme Court member in history, whose strong, independent wife was paid on the down low by the paymaster of the Federalist Society), Alito (whose strong, independent wife forced him to fly flags supporting the Trump insurrection), and Anthony Kennedy (who’d later retire in a deal allowing his former clerk Kavanaugh to take his place) made up the one vote majority that overruled the democratic will of majoritarian tyrants.

Sic semper tyrannis, motherfuckers.

Nazis demand mockery

As to why this brazen, hopped up, truth-challenged, wife blaming fascist has visible synovitis in his prosthetic left knee, this painful and intractable disease is the least I would wish on this particular powerful spineless reactionary partisan.

Excellent discussion of this lying, corrupt, compromised, misogynist fuck’s behavior, by Ari Melber.

Life during the fight for American Nazism

During the rise of an irrationally-based power grab by fascists, everything you can think of will be weaponized, forcing a relentless, exhausting stream of irrational choices on the populace. Every issue, no matter how insignificant, will be framed in BLACK and WHITE, an existential battle between good and evil, the Nazis representing good and everyone else the vicious or unwitting tool of cunning, deadly evil. A pliant corporate media, driven by an unslakable lust for profit, will treat both sides as having legitimate points. In the name of fairness you get shit like this:

Mothers Against Drunk Driving will be holding a public meeting tonight at 8 pm. Mothers For Drunk Driving is demanding the right to debate, and present their equally compelling point of view. Baseball bats, bear spray, sharpened flagpoles, clubs, firearms, knives, whips, brass knuckles, acid, burning torches, pitchforks, hatchets and all homemade weapons permitted. Fighting is encouraged. Refreshments will be served.

And God bless these United Shayyyssshh
